This is a Casaleggio Associati's project born in 2022 collecting reports and experience from 16 years of study of the ecommerce world. A brand that brings together searches, events, initiatives and rankings.
In 2006, Casaleggio Associati carried out the first “Ecommerce Italia” research, with the aim of creating an annual observatory in one of the fastest growing digital areas.
The research represented the natural extension of the surveys that had been previously published on topics such as online food, consumer electronics and online fashion, carried out by interviewing the main companies on the market.
The stimulus to do something more and to build an event for the presentation of the annual report was born from the interviews with CEOs and ecommerce managers, giving companies the opportunity to tell about themselves in front of other companies.
Over the years, Casaleggio Associati’s “Ecommerce Italia” research has become a reference point in the sector with several hundred companies participating in the events and thousands of report downloads. The data from Casaleggio Associati’s Ecommerce research was taken from numerous national media and published by international sites such as eMarketer, Statista and The Paypers.
The research presentation event has become a fixed appointment for professionals in the sector and, before the changes due to Covid, in addition to the classic spring event in Milan, it also saw a conference in Rome in collaboration with the Luiss University.
Starting in 2021, the Ecommerce ranking was launched in Italy, with the aim of understanding which were the first ecommerce sites in Italy to identify who was emerging or implementing particularly effective strategies on the market. Subsequently, the ranking expanded both in terms of the number of companies present and the sectors represented.
